Here is our March 2026 Furlough prayer letter, available to download as a PDF.

Hello from Texas!

We have been all over the place, visiting churches and preparing for a year or more of travel. Please see below for an update on our family.

First of all, we want to apologize for the abnormal and inconsistent letters we have sent out over the last six months or so.  The death of my brother right before our furlough threw us into such chaos that we have struggled to regain some sense of normality.  Our last several communiques were just sent out through our email distribution system, and weren’t in an easily downloadable or printable format.  For that I apologize.

An overcast day in Dallas, Texas

We have been in Texas since the first full week of January, with a complete tally of our activities including: visiting 24 churches, traveling through 14 States, driving around 9,000 miles, purchasing both a truck and a fifth wheel, and thanking the LORD for at least three new supporting churches.

Unfortunately, our travels have not been without incident, as our truck has been at the Ford dealership for almost three weeks, getting a complete reseal and four new injectors.  As owners of 6.7L Powerstroke trucks know, no repair on these pickups is cheap.

My poor truck!

Despite the setback, the LORD has been faithful and has already provided the funds to cover the repairs, both through other churches’ generosity and special offerings from members of our home church.  It has been wonderful to see God move on our behalf, since we simply had no way of paying for this unexpected repair.

One of the greatest blessings of furlough travel is being able to participate with our supporting churches, and invest our time and talents into their ministries.  As we are the recipients of so much generosity, it is always a blessing to be able to give back a little to churches when we visit.

While in Weslaco, TX, we spent a few days with Open Door Baptist Church, and I was able to get my hands dirty helping with a repair. The Aguiars have always been a blessing, and we enjoyed giving back.

The church in Osorno is not only “surviving” without us, but seems to be thriving, with several people saved during door-to-door visitation, and multiple visitors, some of whom have returned multiple times. Please pray specifically for Alicia, who began discipleship studies.

Two of the men also accompanied Bro. Luís on a roadtrip to Punta Arenas (from Osorno; 33 hours one way) to participate in a Bible conference held by missionary Derek Hansen.  The level of involvement and ownership taken by our church folks has been exciting to watch from a distance.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for the LORD’s ministry  in Southern Chile, as we continue to travel around North America, visiting supporting churches and raising more support.
