Here is our Fall 2025 prayer letter, available to download as a PDF.
We’re hard at work planning for furlough next year, 2026! We hope to meet all our supporters who want to see us again, visit the supporters we missed last furlough or haven’t met yet, and meet a bunch of new supporters on the road!
Since we missed visiting a few supporters in 2019-2020, we’re definitely prioritizing visiting you. But we also need to meet some new churches that would share our vision for reaching Chile and South America with the gospel. Please pray for this process.
We want to thank the LORD Jesus Christ for another two months of fruitful service here in Southern Chile. We also want to thank you all for your faithful prayers and financial support to help us stay here and continue the work.
In our last letter, we mentioned a baptismal outing that we had planned, and while we made it happen before the cooler weather set in, we ended up doing it in a church member’s pool instead of a river. Regardless, Alejandro and Cristian gave public testimonies of salvation before being baptized, with one unsaved visitor present to witness. We are grateful for these two young men and are excited to see what the LORD has in store for them in the future.

The week after the baptism, Gerardo and I flew to Miami to participate in the annual Bible Conference at Iglesia Bíblica Bautista de Hialeah. As always, the church took wonderful care of us, and Gerardo enjoyed his first international trip and was able to experience quite a few new things (Chick-fil-A and the Apple Store!), as well as being asked to preach on the last night of our visit to the States.

I also had the opportunity to plan a little bit more with Bro. Luís, the young man that is planning to help cover for me during our upcoming furlough. He and I are both excited about the opportunities that the LORD is opening up for us to work together.
As to those opportunities, Luís and I are working together on the in-person and internet Bible Institute (seminary-level studies) as well as working with other local church institutes throughout the Americas to train young men and women in the Spanish Scriptures. There are many people that have expressed interest, as well as the two young men that were baptized, who wish to further their understanding of the Bible, and we hope to facilitate that, through the LORD’s guidance and the churches’ communication (1 Tim. 6:18) to meet the needs of this endeavor.
With regard to furlough planning, please keep us in mind both for meetings and as we try to save up for an RV for our family. We will save tens of thousands of dollars and have a much better living situation if we are able to acquire a fifth wheel.
While we have always been reticent to share dollar amounts and outright request money, since we have many very generous supporting churches that we do not want to take advantage of, and we believe it is always best to allow the LORD to direct hearts with regard to our financial provision, we need to raise at least $20,000 to cover the initial expenses of our return to the States. We are also hoping to raise an additional $2,000 a month support to make the rest of our vision a reality.
In closing, thank you for your faithfulness, and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
